The 5th Carbon Summit, where companies producing environmentally friendly products and technologies were awarded and those reducing their carbon footprint presented their eco-friendly production, was held in Istanbul on Thursday, April 26. Organized by the Sustainable Production and Consumption Association (SÜT-D), the summit took place at Istanbul Technical University’s Süleyman Demirel Conference Hall. GREEN Chemicals, which has been serving various industries with its chemical products since 1995, received the "Low Carbon Hero" award for its project "Reducing Carbon Emissions by Lowering Fuel Consumption with Dust Suppression Products."

In today’s world, where the effects of climate change and global warming are increasingly evident, the summit focused on initiatives aimed at reducing carbon footprints. The event highlighted and rewarded companies sensitive to this issue. The opening speeches were delivered by Prof. Dr. Filiz Karaosmanoğlu (President of SÜT-D), Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karaca (Rector of ITU), and Muhammet Ecel (General Director of Environmental Management at the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization).

The 5th Carbon Summit addressed topics such as "Climate Financing," "Global Developments," "Turkey’s Industrial Fight Against Climate Change," and "Carbon Management and Industry." Operating in Gebze with a strong sustainability strategy, GREEN Chemicals continues to reduce its carbon footprint every year. This year, the company received the “Low Carbon Hero” award with its Dust Suppression product line and once again supported the summit as a sponsor.
